Practical innovation
During the pandemic we developed a web-based QR code appointment solution for walk-in medical clinics to help manage patient visits safely. What the name means
“Taleam” means “education” in Arabic and Pashto, and it reflects our belief that technology should empower people. We challenge misconceptions, foster dialogue and welcome collaboration. That is what Taleam stands for and that is our mission.
Leadership
Our CEO, Meladul Haq Ahmadzai, is an Afghan-Canadian global health expert, tech entrepreneur and peace activist, and a recognized champion for peace through education and access to health for all. He holds an MSc in Global Health from the University of Manchester (UK), was named a Universal Health Coverage Day Champion, and received the Canada Service Corps award for volunteerism.
